Machine Has No Steam Power

Is the machine new or old?

  • If it’s old: move on to the next question.
  • If it’s new: run a steam test by following the steps listed in the document attached at the end of this article to determine if the machine is functioning properly.
    • Did your measurements fall within the acceptable parameters?
      • If no, move on to the next question.
      • If yes, your machine should be operating properly.

Have you checked for blockages in the pipe?

  • If yes, move on to the next question.
  • If no, remove the steam wand assembly to check for blockages in the inner pipe.

When you push all three switches on the front of the machine into the down position and open the steam knob, does water come through?

  • If yes, move on to the next section.
  • If no, the machine may need to be primed. The video below shows how to do this.

Is the water flowing through the group head cold or room temperature?

  • If yes, the brew and steam thermostats have failed and need to be replaced. The video below shows how to replace the thermostats.
  • If no, contact customer service.
