Empty Grounds Light Stuck On Or Blinking

Make sure the machine is powered on when doing these maintenance items.

The machine must be turned on and when you remove the ground container wait for the display to tell you to insert it.

Note: The alarm is time-based. If the machine is not powered on and/or the drawer is not removed for a long enough duration, the sensors won't reset and the alarm light will remain on.

  • If the internal drip tray and grounds drawer are full:
    1. Remove the internal drip tray and grounds drawer.
    2. If the drip tray chamber is dirty or has any debris in it, wipe it down.
    3. Firmly reinsert the grounds drawer and drip tray into the unit.

If the sensor does not recognize that the grounds drawer has been removed, the alarm will not clear.

If you are experiencing this issue, you will need to check if the switch is stuck. This is typically caused by debris on the switch when the area is not properly cleaned.

If manually pressing the switch does not trigger the alarm, then the switch may need to be replaced.
