Performing basic, routine maintenance on your Gaggia Classic Pro will ensure that it runs smoothly and continues to brew the excellent espresso you bought it to make.
This video will walk you through a step-by-step process for performing routine maintenance on your Gaggia machine.
Note: We highly recommend that you use BWT Bestsave S Anti Scale Filters to prevent scale build up. (You can buy them here.) When scale builds up, chunks can break loose and cause blockages.
Note: While doing a descale, do not run the descaling solution through the group as it could cause scale to build up in the three way solenoid valve. This would then require disassembly for manual cleaning.
Associated Parts:
- Gaggia Descalcifier Liqued
- Cafiza (best for backflushing and cleaning portafilters and filter baskets)
- BWT Bestsave S Anti Scale Filters
Failure of normal wear and tear items such as group gaskets, seals and shower screens are not covered under warranty. Issues due to scale build up or lack of maintenance are not covered.
