ECM Technika IV Profi, Technika V Profi PID, Elektronika II Profi, and Mechanika: Housing Removal

Learn how to remove the housing of ECM Technika IV Profi, ECM Technika V Profi PID, ECM Elektronika II Profi, and ECM Mechanika espresso machines.

1. Start by using a 2.5mm Allen wrench to remove the four Allen screws that hold on the cup warmer. Once removed, lift the cup warmer off the machine and place off to the side.

2. Use a 3mm Allen wrench to remove the two Allen screws that hold on the cover. Once the screws are removed, set the cover off to the side.

3. Underneath the lip of the frame on the left and the right side is a 3mm Allen screw that holds the top of the side panels to the frame. These screws are slid into a little cutout in the frame and then are tightened down. You do not need to fully remove these screws. Simply use a 3mm Allen to loosen the screw on the right and left side.

4. Place a towel or pad down behind the machine and lay the machine on its back. Remove the four 3mm Allen screws that hold the housing to the frame. Once removed, flip the machine back up and simply slide the housing away from you off of the machine.
